Today’s tutorial will be the first of a series on basic photography and editing, and we’ll start with lenses. The idea behind Photoshop is to remove the fisheye effect from your photographs. In this tutorial, we will use Photoshop’s Horizontal and Vertical Lens Correction Tools to remove the spherical effect in all of the photographs from the house.

Photoshop is quite a powerful tool, and there are a number of features you can use to manipulate your photographs. Hopefully by the end of this tutorial, you will have a better understanding of the basics of Photoshop and be ready to start using Photoshop creatively.

Ways to remove the fisheye effect in photography

Photoshop has the Lens Correction tools which we will use to remove the fisheye effect in our photographs. Although not completely necessary to remove the fisheye effect, I will begin the process with a combination of these tools in Photoshop.

Lens Correction is a powerful tool that will not only remove the fisheye effect, but will also straighten distorted images or sharpen blurry photos. This process can be done in Photoshop or GIMP.

1. Select the Lens Correction Tool

To use the Lens Correction tools, you must first select the tool that will remove the fisheye effect. In a new document, click File and select Open to load a new document. If you don’t have a new document ready, you can use the existing document and just save it as a new file.

In the Tool Options box on the bottom of the Photoshop window, you will see the Lens Correction Tool for either lens distortion or fisheye. To select this tool, press the left mouse button on Lens Correction Tool and click the top left option to select.

Once you are using the Lens Correction tool, make sure to have the tolerance set to 0 and the Ratio to either 1:1 or 0.91. If you have a square photo, the value should be 100%.

In a nutshell, Photoshop Elements is a graphics editor that can be used for photo editing, graphic design, and web design. The professional version of the software is optimised for image creation.

Shapes created by the Freeform Shape Tool can be edited, moved, and resized in the usual way. You can click on an anchor point to return to it. In the palette on the right side of the window, you can see all of the other shapes in the selection.
