Adobe Photoshop Elements is often marketed as a similar program to Photoshop, but it has fewer features. It does, however, have basic tools for creating images, including importing and exporting image formats, converting images from one type to another, and correcting color. It does not have all of the power that Adobe Photoshop has. It’s a good tool for beginners.

This book doesn’t replace Photoshop. Instead, it covers the core features you need to use Photoshop effectively while teaching you how to use those features. The book shows you how to use the most important tools available in Photoshop. You learn how to lay out text, create layers, use point- and path-based selection, bring in content from other documents, and import and work with layers.

Photoshop’s powerful point-based selection tool, the Magnetic Lasso, is covered in Chapter 2. The Lasso tool, used with the Magic Wand (see Chapter 7) or with the Polygonal Lasso tool (see Chapter 8) with the Eraser tool (see Chapter 10) enables you to make selection quickly and more precisely than using the rectangular Selection tool.

The Blur tool (see Chapter 5) lets you soften edges and blend different layers together for an overall look that is different from simply using the Adjustment Panel to change the amount of blur in an image. The Gradient tool (see Chapter 4) lets you add color gradients, which have their own distinct look to your work. The Filter and Adjustment Layers tools, used in Chapter 9, give you a way to add effects and coloring to your images without changing the underlying layers.

The key to using Photoshop effectively, whether you’re a beginner or an advanced user, is to understand how to create and manipulate layers and what those layers really are. This chapter defines layers and shows you how to use them in Photoshop.

The Quick-Reference guide that comes with this book (see the Introduction) includes all the tools you need for Photoshop. You don’t need to get a copy of Photoshop to follow along with this book.

To bring up the Layers window and to see exactly what is selected, choose Window⇒Layers or press Ctrl+L (Windows) or Ñ (Mac OS) on the keyboard. Pressing Ctrl+L or Ñ on the keyboard also puts the Layers window in view.

Image quality setting

The resolution of an image on a display can vary drastically.

Some computer monitors are 4k compatible (4,096 x 2,160 pixels) while others can only display 1,080 x 720 pixels at 30p (14.4 megapixels) — this amount of resolution means you cannot print the image at the quality you desire.

You can adjust image size to match a specific screen resolution with this tool.

To do this, click the Image Size button to open the Image Size options window.

You can adjust the height or width of the image to adjust to a specific screen resolution, and then check the auto-fit option if you want the image to automatically adjust to fit the screen.

Cropping a screenshot

To crop your screenshot, first click the Crop tool to open the toolbox, then click the Crop tool again to close the toolbox.

Once the toolbox is open, drag the red selection line to crop the image.

You can adjust the amount of image you want to keep by using the sliders on the left and right sides of the selection area.

Clone tool

If you plan to make more changes to an image, you can clone it using the Clone tool.

Select the original image by clicking it, then click the Clone tool to open the toolbox.

Click the Clone tool again to close the toolbox and make the clone.

You can adjust the top, bottom, left, right and crop amount of the clone with the sliders on the left and right sides of the selection area.

If you want to clone an entire image, you can select it by clicking it.

This tool creates a checkerboard pattern by creating a border around your image.

Select the Crop tool to open the toolbox, then click the Checkerboard tool to open the toolbox.

Click the Checkerboard tool again to close the toolbox and place a border around your image.

You can adjust the size of the border with the sliders on the left and right sides of the selection area.

You can add a drop shadow by clicking the Adding Drop Shadow tool and dragging it on the right side of the checkerboard border.

.htaccess and php redirect

I have a very simple.htaccess file that is redirecting a folder from its old location to the new location.
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI}!^(.+)/$
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ [R=301,L]

If I go to then the browser automatically redirects me to so if I want to stay on mysite.com/live do I just add an extra redirect?
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI}!^(.+)/$
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ [R=301,L]

If your /live is a subdomain and you are using SSL, then you will need to keep this part in there as well:
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI}!^(.+)/$
RewriteCond %{SERVER_PORT}!^443$
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ [R=301,L]

This still redirects you http -> https on those requests. You will need to keep a listen on 80 or 443 because if someone is browsing the website, they will never see the change from HTTP to HTTPS.

The present invention relates to a method of recording and playing back information such as images, speech, and the like, and more particularly, to an apparatus for recording and playing back compressed (encoded) information.
Multimedia information such as speech, image, and the like has become popular as more and more information is being transmitted through various communication media. As such, there has been an increasing demand for recording and playing back multimedia information.
To date, techniques for transmitting multimedia information through a broadcast have been developed for both motion video information and still image information, and therefore the most cost-effective method is to store the information at a transmission side. From the viewpoint of cost, there are a number of practical recording systems such as VTR (video tape recorder), DAT (digital audio tape recorder), STC (sectioned tape cassette), and the like.

Category: Taoist

Taoism is based on the concepts of Yin and Yang and its complements and includes many elements associated with other Chinese philosophies, including Confucianism, Daoism, Confucianism, and Buddhism.

According to some sources, about 30% of the world’s population believes in this theory and it was first systematized by Confucius, about 2,500 years ago in China, although it may have been present in ancient Greece and ancient Egypt as well.

My objective is to help you understand Taoism so that you may be able to use it to your advantage in every day life.

Taoism believes that everything is in motion, everything is in flux, and everything is in the process of becoming something else.

The Taoist makes an important distinction between the body and the spirit.

The body is said to be the container and the vessel that the spirit inhabits, whereas the spirit is the life force or the source from which the body draws its energy.

In other words, the spirit is the source of the body and the body is the vessel, or receptacle, in which the spirit is contained.

To understand this concept, think of it this way:

The body is like a big empty bottle.

Then, you put a little water inside of the bottle.

It is only a matter of time before the bottle will begin to change, and an air pocket will begin to form on the inside of the bottle.

This is what is referred to as the body in motion.

The body is taking the water in and transforming it into an air pocket.

Another way to think about it is, the body is absorbing the spirit, and the spirit is taking over the body.

When someone is born they are empty. They are like a person walking around with the wrong clothes on because they are not yet wearing the body.

The spirit is said to be the essence of the person’s life, or the guiding power that takes them through their life.

Once they’ve lost the spirit, the body becomes the container and the vessel in which the spirit is contained.

The life we have is nothing more than a series of events, or movements, of energy that are pulled into the body.

The purpose of life is to change that energy in a way that is beneficial to it.
