Konfabulator is a simple program that helps individuals run quite a long list of built-in gadgets on the desktop, such as an analog clock, battery, calendar, CPU portal, digital clock, memory gauge, weather, Wi-Fi signal, and to do list. The actual software tool goes in the system tray, from which you can open new items, customize all of them.
All these small apps have a modern-looking design, and their interface is highly intuitive. This means that any type of user is going to be able to work with them, even if he or she happens to be a beginner.
Right clicking on any of the gadgets brings up a small context menu that lets you see a few details, close it and open the preferences panel. The last mentioned option contains a few settings that are common to all widgets, namely changing the window position (floating, topmost, normal, below, Konsposé only), locking the item in the current position, and setting the transparency level from 20% to 100%.
Konsposé is an option that applies a fade out effect to the desktop and highlights all the opened widgets, so that you can change their on-screen position.
There a lot of gadgets built into this software utility that let you take a lot of actions and see important information. For example, you can play music from iTunes, see your city’s current weather forecast, use the Yahoo! search engine, create to-do lists, and the list goes on.
To sum up, if you are the type of person who enjoys having a lot of widgets on the desktop, then you are going to find Konfabulator efficient and useful. There were no bugs or crashes registered during our tests.
Unfortunately, the application has been discontinued and replaced by Yahoo! Widget Engine. Nevertheless, users might still run Konfabulator to use the built-in widgets. Our tests have shown that the app does not have compatibility issues with Windows 8.
View and manage desktop widgets, like a Windows 7 taskbar. Unlike a Windows taskbar, you can move widgets around on the desktop. The Konfabulator to-do list, timer and clock widgets have been integrated into the system tray and can be used without having to run another program. The widgets are a useful way to quickly add useful information, like the time, weather, or playing music from the iTunes library. Widgets can be added to the Windows desktop by right-clicking on any of the Konfabulator gadgets. Right-click the gadget to get a menu of settings and other actions. Konfabulator features built-in gadgets like the clock, timer and to-do list. Support for more than 200 widgets.

Colocalization of neuropeptide Y and galanin in subpopulations of adrenergic nerve fibers in the rat lung.
Galanin and neuropeptide Y have been shown to coexist in the lung and interact with the same receptor. The distribution of the peptides in rat lung was investigated by immunohistochemistry using double-staining technique. One group of nerve fibers, displaying both neuropeptide Y and galanin immunoreactivities, was found within the ganglionated regions of the intrapulmonary ganglia, where they formed varicose bundles. Immunoreactivity to neuropeptide Y was also present in the ganglia of small blood vessels, which contained varicose nerve fibers immunoreactive to both neuropeptide Y and galanin. A second group of nerve fibers was found along bronchial

Boxer is a simple application that displays system processes, defined as running tasks that consume a certain amount of RAM, CPU and disk space. This might give you a quick and dirty idea about the actual load of your current system.
Any application installed in the system tray will be shown. You can select the process and see its resource usage in percent. The program doesn’t show the overall load, but rather all the statistics per individual process.
The application can display up to 5 processes at once, meaning that you can see 5 processes on your system, selected one by one.
Some minor improvements have been made, but in general, it was a very good starting point for our friends at System Mechanic, the makers of the software.

Sharp-eyed observers may have noticed that the new Moto Droid doesn’t come in the regular blue one we’ve been seeing. It looks more like a Casio, that is, a black and blue-toned watch.
Not that you’d know anything about this from the spec sheet, of course. The internal guts have been as carefully hidden as there is going to be.
The Droid is thicker than a pack of cigarettes and weighs much more than a Ferrari. So obviously it doesn’t run on a Segway. It’s also smaller than a colony of termites, but it has a battery that beats anything ever built.
You can drive it like you’re lugging a mattress across a city bridge, and when you’re finished, it will give you a ride to work or school as if it was a taxi.
The Droid’s internal battery can go for 24 hours on a single charge. Most USB devices can only handle about 5 hours. And the GSM Apple iPhone just holds a charge for a few hours — before it needs to be recharged.
The Droid also features a wireless hotspot that extends the cellular coverage. The Droid becomes a wireless hot spot when it’s within range of either a tower or another device.
So while the Droid sounds and feels like it’s built for the road, it also has both feet firmly planted on the floor.
This special device is so powerful that in some markets it comes with its own docking station.
Here’s a rundown of the top 10 benefits of the Droid:
Greater durability
Less clutter
Greater expandability
Greater portability
Increased security
Less dependency on wireless
Improve Wi-Fi coverage
Less chance of interference
Greater ease of use
Reduced expense
No more wandering around the house looking for your phone
Ability to receive and make voice calls
The build-in FM-radio enables you to hear favorite songs, say at a traffic light, or make calls with music blaring.
