so, while many drummers have been waiting for ezdrummer2s successor, ezdrummer3 has taken its time to develop, but theres no doubt in my mind that the end result isnt only a worthy successor to ezdrummer2, but a game-changer for the virtual drummer market as a whole.

theres also the question of what ezdrummer3 is capable of on top of the things we have all already been using in ezdrummer2. well, let’s be frank: theres not a whole lot else that we want to do to a virtual drummer besides make it sound pretty good. in that regard, ezdrummer3 is no exception: it still delivers an excellent set of instruments, synths, effects, compressors and mixing controls. even the limited midi support is excellent. so, while theres definitely no real-time scripting or sonic scripting, theres still a lot of scope for creativity within ezdrummer3. when you are after a more focused solution to musical composition, superior might be the answer, but if you want something that can do everything and do it well, ezdrummer3 is still a very good bet.
