Equipped with the right applications, a computer can be of great help in virtually any domain of activity. When it comes to designing and precision, no other tool is as accurate as a computer. Moreover, specialized applications such as AutoCAD give you the possibility to design nearly anything ranging from art, to complex mechanical parts or even buildings.
Suitable for business environments and experienced users
After a decent amount of time spent installing the application on your system, you are ready to fire it up. Thanks to the office suite like interface, all of its features are cleverly organized in categories. At a first look, it looks easy enough to use, but the abundance of features it comes equipped with leaves room for second thoughts.
Create 2D and 3D objects
You can make use of basic geometrical shapes to define your objects, as well as draw custom ones. Needless to say that you can take advantage of a multitude of tools that aim to enhance precision. A grid can be enabled so that you can easily snap elements, as well as adding anchor points to fully customize shapes.
With a little imagination and patience on your behalf, nearly anything can be achieved. Available tools allow you to create 3D objects from scratch and have them fully enhanced with high-quality textures. A powerful navigation pane is put at your disposal so that you can carefully position the camera to get a clearer view of the area of interest.
Various export possibilities
Similar to a modern web browser, each project is displayed in its own tab. This comes in handy, especially for comparison views. Moreover, layouts and layers also play important roles, as it makes objects handling a little easier.
Sine the application is not the easiest to carry around, requiring a slightly sophisticated machine to properly run, there are several export options put at your disposal so that the projects itself can be moved around.
Aside from the application specific format, you can save as an image file of multiple types, PDF, FBX and a few more. Additionally, it can be sent via email, directly printed out on a sheet of paper, or even sent to a 3D printing service, if available.
To end with
All in all, AutoCAD remains one of the top applications used by professionals to achieve great precision with projects of nearly any type. It encourages usage with incredible offers for student licenses so you get acquainted with its abundance of features early on. A lot can be said about what it can and can't do, but the true surprise lies in discovering it step-by-step.
Initially, AutoCAD was targeted to architects, engineers, surveyors, and other professionals for creating architectural drawings, mechanical drawings, and other technical drawings. Since its launch, it has been used for many different purposes, from creating maps and technical drawings to creating art and photographs. Some companies use it for internal business and/or manufacturing purposes, while others use it for personal projects.
Today, AutoCAD is the leading computer-aided design software for the market, with more than 4.5 million users. AutoCAD began as a top-down design application for users of the Hewlett-Packard HP-41 calculator. In December 1982, Autodesk released a menu-driven text-based version of the program called AutoLISP, which allowed users to start drawing immediately. AutoCAD was released in 1985 as a spreadsheet-like graphical app, in 1988 as a vector-based CAD application, and in 1990 as an interactive CADD. In 1992, AutoCAD R14 was released as a version of AutoCAD suitable for professional CAD users, and AutoCAD 3D was released the next year. In 1995, AutoCAD was re-released as a Windows-based application.
The first version of AutoCAD to use a GUI was AutoCAD LT (long-time) in 1994, followed by AutoCAD in 1996. AutoCAD LT is an industry standard version of AutoCAD, and AutoCAD is the leading commercial version of AutoCAD. Both AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT are used by engineers, architects, surveyors, and other professionals for drawing applications.
For a long time, AutoCAD was only available for Windows-based platforms. Since 2017, Microsoft has sold AutoCAD as a standalone Windows app. However, Windows 10 provides the same functionality as the Autodesk App. Today, AutoCAD is available for Windows, macOS, and Android operating systems. AutoCAD LT is available for Linux, Windows, macOS, and Android operating systems. AutoCAD Web App is also available on all the major platforms.

In any one of the modes of legal defence which are open to the bankrupt, this court should have no power to allow him to escape the consequences of a wrong which he himself has committed. But this may be done as effectually by the single act of denying the legal existence of the defence, and of exercising the jurisdiction as if the defence had been allowed by the court; and
The world’s most famous charity has received more donations in the past week than it did in all of 2016
Unicef is the largest international charity, and it is currently the world’s most valuable brand. So, it’s not surprising that it recently launched a ‘celebration’ of its success, and a video. But perhaps it should have taken a while to celebrate. The world’s most famous charity has received more donations in the past week than it did in all of 2016.
So where did the money come from?
Over £40 million was donated to Unicef in 2017. £10.9m was from the public – that’s more than in the previous three years combined. Public donations accounted for 10% of total donations in the year, the highest proportion for the charity in a decade.
The remaining 90% of donations came from Unicef’s partners. These include the government and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, but also countless other individuals and businesses. Many Unicef partners are active in local communities, helping with everything from cleaning up the local area to providing access to water and sanitation.
Unicef is very grateful to all of the businesses who have supported the charity, and to the donors who give to the charity to help the people around the world.
What did Unicef do with all of the money?
Unicef has over 190 country programmes. These programmes range from clean water and sanitation to malaria and the World Health Organisation.
In South Africa, Unicef works to ensure that every child in South Africa has a safe place to sleep at night and enough to eat. It helps to reduce the spread of HIV and other infections, and it invests in the local economy to ensure that programmes can last longer.
Unicef works with the government in Colombia to support community health, including providing an extra month of paid maternity leave for mothers who choose to breastfeed their babies. And it also helps people who suffer from malnutrition, and support the management of HIV and AIDS.
Unicef helps children in South Africa.
What do Unicef’s partners think?
This is a fantastic milestone for the charity. It has received so many donations in the last week that we are very much inspired to continue helping as many children and families in as many countries as possible.

Autodesk has announced the general availability of AutoCAD 2023, the latest version of AutoCAD for Windows, for users of the mainstream subscription model. Highlights include: Markup import and Markup Assist—the fastest way to create and integrate comments, create line-based annotations, or import a paper drawing directly into your drawing. You can import new or existing lines, or use the existing lines to create a new line, then send the new line to the back-end for processing. This streamlines the way you perform activities such as commenting on a design or incorporating comments into your drawing. The latest updates and design tools in AutoCAD include improved 3D printing; a revamped Timeline window and new icon sets; new usability features including the ability to minimize the Taskbar to the System Tray; and improved import/export options for Sketchup. Highlighted features: 3D printing: Save hours of time by importing 3D models directly into your drawing. Timeline window: See a visual timeline for all your project’s progress. The redesigned Timeline window is easy to use, and provides a visual reference for your project. User interface: Control your drawings with a redesigned user interface that is easier to use and provides more controls for the most common activities. AutoCAD 2023 is available as a free trial version and is supported by an active maintenance and technical assistance program.
