Limitations

DXF Import/Export
In AutoCAD 2010, DXF Import/Export is a new import format rather than an extension to the ASE import/export format. So, if you want to export to ASE, you need to open the DXF Import/Export dialogue first and export using that.

As of AutoCAD 2016, DXF Import/Export is the default export format and no longer uses ASE. DXF Import/Export is a native import format for Autodesk. The new format allows more objects to be imported.

In AutoCAD 2016, exporting to DXF is not enabled by default, so you have to explicitly enable it. To do so:

Navigate to the Settings tab
