The Fifth Wall
No doubt, the screenwriting profession is the most deadly arena of competition for anyone. The competition is so intense that most screenwriters feel embarrassed to show their work to others.
There are only a few screenwriters who have developed the courage, as did Arthur Miller and William Goldman, to parade their work before the world. Although screenwriters have to protect their work against the public eye, the craft of screenplay writing demands that every screenwriter develop a unique personal style.
In the following tutorial, we will discuss the importance of each scriptwriter’s individual style.
The Fifth Wall – My “Waterfall Chart” for The Writing Process
So, why is it that the screenwriter becomes so self conscious when his or her writing begins to come out in the open?
Because the screenwriter is ready to be judged.
That’s why it’s important to note how a script begins. What is the first line of dialogue, what is the first action, what is the first instinctive reaction? These are the first bricks that the filmmaker lays down on the pathway of his film.
Also, note the story and the conclusion of the script. Since most films focus on the climax, the film’s story and conclusion are shaped around that moment. I can hear you asking, “Okay, what is my story and conclusion?”
Let’s refer to the story and conclusion as “The Wall.” You need to remember that the walls and the wall fragments are linked. By examining your outline, you can view it as a jigsaw puzzle. The next step is to bring each wall fragment into focus.
All screenwriters must be conscious of their outline. Before you begin writing, you must sketch out your outline. No matter how familiar the script is to you, sketch it out. Figure out which individual fragments you have and what their relationship is to each other, and set them up in a compelling order.

Layers can be used to isolate an image so that you can easily edit it. They are helpful when you want to apply various effects to parts of the image, or when you want to show different images in the background.
The Pen tool is useful for sketching or outlining areas on a photo. It is also helpful for tracing the edges of objects in an image.
Some brushes can be changed to suit various occasions. For example, a ‘scribble’ brush is useful for creating impromptu designs in a photo.
There are several ways to change the look of an image in Photoshop. You can use a toolbox, a keyboard shortcut, or an expression.
In this tutorial, we are going to show you how to apply a watercolor effect. You will use the Brush tool to replicate the colors on a paint-by-number canvas.
To start the process, you will need to create a new document by selecting File > New.
You can name your canvas ‘Painting’ and use the default size of 1060 x 730 pixels.
Next, you need to open the original photo in Photoshop.
Use the Add Layer option to add the Painting document as a new layer.
Then, press and hold Alt and click on the Background layer to select it.
To select the Painting layer, hold Alt and press the Delete key.
You can now use any of the Pen tools to draw on the Painting layer.
Copy the Brush tool and paste it onto the background layer.
Next, press and hold Ctrl and click on the top of the new Brush tool to select it.
Choose the Round Brush in the toolbox.
Back on the Painting layer, paint a few strokes on the canvas.
You can now press and hold Alt to select the whole area of the Painting layer.
Use the Select Pixels Tool to highlight a few pixels and press Delete.
Next, use the Eraser tool to delete anything you no longer want.
Finally, press Ctrl+J to join the two layers together.
It is easy to blend the two layers to avoid the original photo from showing through.
To do this, use the Lasso Tool on the original image, and press Alt to make the free-form selection.
Then, press Ctrl+J to join the two layers together.
When the layers are joined, delete the original image and you are done.

Speaking to NPR’s Robert Siegel about the 2016 election last week, Roger Stone, the longtime political operative and longtime Trump associate, declared that he is not the only Trump campaign adviser who didn’t collude with Russia.
Stone, who has seen his own career derailed by recent revelations about his connections to the Russian government, the Trump campaign and WikiLeaks, added: “I’m the only one — the only one — who has been systematically excluded by Mueller from the framing of his investigation.”
Pressed by Siegel, Stone declined to name others who he claimed have been the focus of special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation. Instead, Stone cited a list of some of his supporters that he said were in Mueller’s crosshairs.
“I have no idea what the investigation is going to end up with and what I’m the subject of, but I will tell you, the ones that I’m aware of are former national security adviser Michael Flynn, former campaign chairman Paul Manafort and, as we have confirmed, Jared Kushner,” Stone said. “And if the investigation includes me, there are people within the Trump camp that know that I am not the only one excluded from the frame.”
Mueller is investigating Russia’s efforts to meddle in the 2016 election and whether the Trump campaign worked in concert with that effort. It is unclear what, if any, evidence has emerged that Trump campaign advisers colluded with Russia.
Manafort, who resigned from the Trump campaign after being accused of his own connections to Russia, as well as the brother of a Ukrainian oligarch who worked with Manafort and Stone on the pro-Russian party in Ukraine, has been a central focus of Mueller’s investigation since he first came under scrutiny.
Stone described to Siegel his own interactions with Trump in the months before the election. Those included a game of golf with Trump in New Jersey at the start of the summer and then a dinner party with Trump’s son Donald Trump Jr. and Manafort — also on the president’s son’s dime — at a midtown Manhattan restaurant.
Other colleagues and associates, Stone claimed, had warned him about the danger of talking to the media.
“I knew better,” Stone told Siegel, “that Mueller and his allies were conducting a fake investigation of Republican dirty tricks. That’s why I’m still talking to you.”This
